Over the years, Sol de Olmos has promoted important social projects aimed at the welfare of the community and the protection of the environment. A significant example is the implementation of the “Olmos Community Recycling Project”. In its first stage, the project promoted recycling in families through the exchange of recycled plastics for food. In the second stage, school children and young people were encouraged to exchange recycled materials such as plastic and paper for school supplies.

In addition, a Minimarket was set up to offer basic foodstuffs at affordable prices, which benefits families in the hamlets by preventing them from making long trips to the city to purchase basic products. This Minimarket also promotes the exchange of recycled products for food, benefiting the entire community.
